This isn't much of an absence in the sense that i'll be gone long, but I likely won't be on the forums at all tomorrow due to the Elliot Minor gig and staying in Plymouth.

My laptops about to go in for an overhaul, no idea when it'll be back, I'll probably have it early next week at the earliest.

Well its gone in. I now realize that these things are measured in weeks, not days! worst case scenario if there are serious part problems is 4 to 6 weeks but there aren't (just a few problems) so its more likely up to 3. I have negociated with my sister that I can use hers for an hour each day (provided I watch 'firefly') and she's at a sleepover tonight anyway, plus she's off to mexico in a couple of weeks so if I don't have mine back I'll have hers whenever I like. Its not that bad as it seems, as even if I did have it, I'm now in london (where for some reason mine never really worked on the internet), where I'd have to be in a few days anyway en route to a friends birthday at the weekend, but which I'm up now as a) everyone else was going up and b) my adapter failed a few days ago so I'd have to go up so I could borrow my sisters, which is irrelevant now of course. the only gap will be sunday and monday as thats when my friend's birthday is (in york) so I'll be away on both days. travelling up and the party on sunday, and returning (all the way down to kent in one go) most of monday.

On Tuesday 29th I'm going up to Liverpool to visit my sister for a few days, and I doubt I'll have internet connection, but I should be back on the Friday or Saturday..... So I'll be gone 4 days tops.

on 30th i go away for 3 weeks wont have net connection or anything, i will be back once im home

Looks like we're all at it. although its not an absence as such, my sister is about to go on holiday and she's thinking of taking her laptop with her so I'll be without internet for at least a week from tomorrow evening.

At least its only from monday evening/tuesday to late in the week when you're gone. Oh yes, and I've just had it confirmed that my family will be away until the weekend after next so in the continued absence of my laptop I'll be internetless until than. 2 weeks! The annoying thing is when the others return, it will be almost time until mine is finally ready anyway.

On the upside I just found out my sister does have the internet, so I can still get on etc. though I will be out most the time, I at least won't be without connection
