i've been too so many gigs already I really don't know what the best one was.
Here are a few:

In Flames at Wacken Open air 2007. They were headlining and the show was amazing. It was huge with fireworks and everything that a good show needs.
To be honest all the concerts I've seen of In Flames are so good. (And i've seen them already 5 times)

Eum This year I saw Metallica. Was also very good.

36 Crazyfists, Iron maiden, As I lay dying, Killswitch, The Black Dalhia Murder, Dilllinger Escape plan,... They're all so f** good live!! And i've forgotten lots

The best gig I’ve been to was Metallica, Alice In Chains and Avenged Sevenfold. It was billed at Download Ireland despite the fact it was only three bands and a second stage with four bands. I had always wanted to see Alice In Chains but of course after Laynes death they weren’t touring but although it was a different vocalist it was still great to see them live. It was my third time seeing Metallica live and that year they played Master Of Puppets in full which was quite something.

but if it's strictly gigs, not festivals, it's a toss up between Give it a Name '08, Defenders of the Faith II, and Fightstar at the Exeter Lemon Grove 4th may
