I feel them swirling in my heart
Never stopping, ever changing, the love, the hate
All there, co-existing, all within my tiny self
Making me feel warm and fuzzy, but also dark and broken
Whether happy or sad, emotions are an essential part of life
Even though I wish I could turn them off at times
I need them.... Without them I am nothing
And I couldn’t love my friends, and then I really would be nothing...
