Discuss the False Metallers BMTH, with a lead vocalist who can't actually sing/scream for shit, pisses on young girls, and tries to look 'emo'/'scene' by wearing a clip-on fringe

Well, I may not like Olli Sykes, but for some reason, I really like these guys ^^; (Please don't hate me XD). I love their mini-EP and Count Your Blessings is pretty good. I'm not looking forward to their new stuff though - they've quite seriously moved away from their original deathcore style into some more hard-rock/metalcore ish... >.<

I thought they were ok when I first heard them but then I released that all there songs were more or less the same. It’s strange the way all the scene fans love the band more because of how they look than how they sound.

Exactly - I know this must sound bad, but they more-or-less really put me off them from the start (I hope that don't sound like I'm stooping down to their level! lol!)
But really, when else have 'scene kids' been into deathcore... Or metal in general?
Just because the lead singer has a fringe and a colourful clothes range....

I always find it strange because they arte listed beside bands like You Me At Six, Go Audio and The Blackout which sound nothing like Bring Me The Horizon but look just like them. If they made great music and looked the way they did it then the image would be forgivable but they don’t make great music and look ridiculous so that is a good reason to dislike the band.

No-one cares what you look like (OK, so maybe you'll get a few jokes, but they'll soon wear off) as long as you make good music. A lot of metal bands dress completely "average" and that's the way to be, their loved for their music, not fashion sense. I really hate these people who like certain bands just to fit in with shitty fads. I know this is an overused phrase, but like what you fucking like naturally!!!

I remember once when I commented on what Bowling for soup look like, I called them a 'bunch of fat cunts who can't sing or play' which was harsh of me but that wasnt the reason why I didn't/don't like bowling for soup and I dont think image should be a key factor to liking a band, I just wrote how I saw their image and I shouldn't have called them back and I've taken it back now (=.

There used to be a sped up video of a 'squirrel' singing BMTH, that was classic, sounded so right, but I can't find it now...

Exactly! I can understand that people hate Olli Sykes, but why the whole band? Even Terrorizer conceded and gave them a relatively good 6/10 for their new one!

He pisses on young girls, he's violent, he used to wear a 'clip-on' fringe to look 'emo/scene', he wears fake tattoos, his vocals are fake, or at least strongly edited, and BMTH are awful IMO (That's just why I don't like him, obviously I don't know him in person so I can't judge for real, but from what I've heard... He's not really my kinda person, shall we say)
