Do you prefer laptops or computers?
I personally don't see the point in a laptop, sure it's portable, but if all laptops are like my dads and are a lot brighter when plugged in to their charger than when not, then it's not worth it being portable.

Well you can move it from place to place easier. Especially if you don't spend all the time in one place, like Home and uni for me.

Yes, but other than being portable, what is the point in a laptop?
For the most part they don't have as much memory as a computer, I find at least my dads laptop harder to type on, it's like they squished a keyboard so it has the least number of keys possible, and I don't like not having a proper mouse, but that's just me.

That's like saying 'aside from the freedom of movement, what's the point of a car'. Had a PC years ago, only ever had a laptop since and would never change back. Anyway nowadays they have great memory. I managed to last qith 120GB on my old one and this one has 360, I doubt I'll never need anything near half that. Plus its far from the top end of laptop memory capacity.

Personally, I prefer PCs - simply because they usually have more memory, as Shrimp pointed out, and the processing power is greater. Plus, they're more customisable - I used to have two CD drivers in my old PC, which was invaluable, but my laptop only has facility for one drive which can be quite limiting. Simiarly, it has a lower number of available USB ports, meaning one has to resort to slightly annoying USB hubs, which are not always useful for connecting high-power appliances such as iPods to Tounge Out XD

Laptops do come in rather handy for their portability, as deltablue pointed out. Similarly, their small size and relatively lower power usage are both advantages too.

Laptop all the way
Laptop's are all I've used for the last 4 years, our old PC was slow, bulky and sluggish... never looked back
