basically...i dont care what anyone says or who says it...mcr DOES provoke people to cut themselves and have suicidal thoughts...and i dont care, they are emo...and i dont like it...tbh if their fans (emos) really wanted to kill themselves they can go do it:)

Lmao! Okay, yes, to a certain extent what you say is true, and the comment you left at the end is hilarious! But, MCR don't shout go out and kill yourselves/harm yourselves, that's the persons choice who actually does that. And not in one of MCR's songs do they provoke suicide/self harm. Cemetery Drive mentions it, but does NOT provoke it!
If you've ever heard lyrics by bands like Hawthorne Heights then they DO provoke it!

And thanks for calling all MCR fans "emo", I'll admit to it, I like MCR, even if it's mainly just stuff of their first 2 albums, but I am definately not fuckin' emo! xD

haah yes i kno...im rather harsh
but bands dont have to PROVOKE it. they just have to hint it enough for a middle classed, white kid, complaining about made up problems to think those things. MCR caught on to a trend and realized that was the way to go...death, depression, suicide hotlines...and tbh i think that is just disgusting. the loss of a life of an adult is bad enough without teens with made up problems to go and do themselves in as well!!!

I luv MCR there are one of my favorite bands!

and im no emo lmao

this band is great and has never said anything like go slit your wrists!
and no emo has ever turned to me and said MCR talked me into sliting my wrists!

It's all true, MCR should be appreciated for being a band for once aswell, and not a stereotype, coz that's what they are.

I agree completely that the way 'emo' is seen today is just terrible, and pathetic... But MCR are no way near the worst of it, they get attacked coz they are the most mainstream/popular/well known in the scene, but there are many bands a mile worse in that sense

Quite liked Bullets, they went downhill from there in my eyes. Their latest stuff is awful.

They went much more mainstream, true to say, Bullets & Three Cheers for me though. I like some stuff in the Black Parade but they went too far with how poppish they went etc. (But some of that still wasn't their fault, it's what the media did to them)

I remeber first hearing it and getting all hyped up about it because i was so obsessed.

I remember everyone was talking about it and an 08/early '09 album release looked likely, not so sure now though, it all seems to have quietened down
