And football's okay IMO, I was absolutely mad on it as a young kid, but kinda lost interest
The game itself is the best sport ever invented (once again, IMO) but I admit I'm not so keen on some of the people who partake in it and follow it, but those are just the 'hooligans', 'yobs' etc. and they are a very small minority in the community.
Despite all that, one of the great things about football are the in-depht facts (Love my statistics, don't laugh! lol)

Indeed, I was with my best friend who is a liverpool fan, he's an eternal optimist as it didn't dawn on him until late on that 0-0 was inevitable.

Hull won in their first ever top flight game, and Tottenham lost to Middlesbrough (I state that as Spurs are my dad's and most my family's team )

The promoted teams look like a rather more spirited bunch than the last lot, this time it's stoke who won while WB were close again and Hull held blackburn. things are rather more depressing in the real football league, Ipswich have swapped home and away form from last season, with another home defeat, norwich coming back to get a point from 2-0 down, I've even convinced my best friend (a liverpool fan) to sample the championship for a season, he chose palace who haven't scored yet after 3 games. at least reading (supported by a friend who indulges in mind games and taunts) lost, which will help keep him in his place for a while.

Another Tottenham defeat, another Torquay defeat and another Barnet (my old local team) defeat today.... Routine stuff then
