Heroes

I missed last week's episode.

Ahh well. Sorta given up now tbh it was getting a bit confusing and the writing hasn't been as sharp as it was in series 1, imo.

Discuss what you think about Heroes.

loved S1 not so fond of 2. 3 looks better

I think I've only seen the first episode of series 3.

Series 2 got bad reviews so I wasn't expecting much from it. Although I was pleasantly surprised I liked it.
But it has deminished in quality, imo.
Which, tbh, was probably down to the writers' strike.

I just started watching a few episodes with Mum, but it seems very interesting I don't know any of the previous plots, though, so it's a little odd at times... ^^;

yep. my mum started watching S1 but than had to miss some due to work and never really got back into it

It's one of those shows if you miss one week's episode you have no hope of catching up with (well, for me lol)

I think I watched one episode once, and was completely lost as to what was going on.....

You should have started with the pilot. Thats what I do when I'm watching a show for the first time.

I know, but I was at my ex-girlfriend's house, and she watched the series, and so we watched it together, meaning the episode was somewhere in the middle of the series.....

Oh yeh if I don't watch something from the start I get lost.

Especially one with so many characters like in Heroes.

I got into sentai though specials as it was easier than an entire series. but that wouldn't work here.

There's a Heroes book called Saving Charlie or something. I think that was set before the series. Like a prequel?

Best show ever in my opinion. I watched it from the first series when it started first on the Sci-Fi channel. The third series is amazing so far but I could see how people would be getting confused if they started watching from this series because it’s very fast paced and because the first and second series focused a lot on building the characters and third went straight into the action.

I didn't miss whole episodes of series 2 but I missed bits of them. So I think that might be a contributing factor to me not nessacarily following series 3?

season 2 didn't built up to anything much. when I realized there were only a couple of eps left I was surprised because it never got going to anything big.

Well, like I mentioned earlier, the writer's strike etc.

They never really got a chance to do it properly, and finished it really fast wrapping it all up in the last couple of episodes imo.

They had to actually change a lot of the last episode of season 2 to wrap up all the storylines because the writers strike was announced around that time. Season 2 was supposed to be split into two sections “Generations” and “Exodus” with the latter not being done because of the writers strike. Originally the virus was supposed to escape and not be destroyed by Peter and that would lead to the chapter entitled “Exodus”. Season two was very slow moving in my opinion but got exciting near the end and also with season two there were a few characters that didn’t fit into the overall story arc.
