I feel so bad to say this but I've never played guitar hero

ever.


I always forget when I go round my friend's house cos he has 3

but I've never played
nor rockband

I've played all of them, but don't own any

Played and own them all for PS2. The first one I owned was Guitar Hero 2 and it was recommended to me because I was a bit sceptical because I thought the guitar controller would be a novelty that would soon wear off but it’s actually a lot of fun.

i own gh3 for mac and its quite good. I played rockband once and the controller is shite

What do you use for controls on the Mac?

i have the guitar controller, shit thing is they give the old xbox 360 controller as its got a usb which u plug in with

I bet. I think it's stupid how on these games you only have a set list of songs, and then a few you can download. you should be able to plug your mp3 or whatever into your console and play whatever you want...

Then there wouldn’t be a need for developers to make a new rock band / guitar hero game and that’s the main reason it isn’t done that way. It would be brilliant if it was a case of plug in your mp3 and they’ll make the song appear in guitar hero form. I’d just be checking what they make for bands like Dillinger Escape Plan and Meshuggah.

They could produce new games, but just edit the graphics, features etc. rather than the song list. If the new features are appealing and different enough from the last edition, then people will still go out and buy it ^^

That’s true although in regards to graphics there isn’t a lot they can do as it hasn’t really changed since the first Guitar Hero.

I still think they could be improved. And they could add more real musicians to the game....

I’d say in the future they will add a lot more real musicians as seems to be Guitar Hero’s thing.

Full bands aswell, rather than just focusing on frontmen or the more iconic member of a band.

There was a rumour that they were going to put Tool in Guitar Hero World Tour seems as they had a stage made for the three tracks in it but unfortunately that didn’t happen.

Ah I see. There's always the next edition, here's hoping
