I think it has more songs, but then it seems you can download songs for rock band iirc, but I think Guitar Hero comes with the most songs. I had to read about them on wikipedia though.

Rock Band's downloadable content is a million miles better, but I think I'm gonna get GH for now. The equipment seems better. But I may get Rock Band soon after anyway, but I think I'll start with GH Happy

I'm getting it for my 360. But you can also get it for PS3, PS2, Wii and probably more...

I’ve got both Guitar Hero 4 and Rock Band 2 for X-Box 360. If you’re getting both then definitely go for the Guitar Hero instruments mainly for the drum kit in that one and then just get the Rock Band 2 game at a later date.

In regards to which ones better it all depends on the track list you prefer. For me personally both have great tracks and not so great tracks although the three Tool tracks were the main attraction for Guitar Hero. Also notable is that Guitar Hero is actually gets a lot more difficult as you progress through sets than Rock Band.

The Rock Band downloadable content is far superior to Guitar Hero. The fact the downloadable content was forward compatible means I was able to use the songs I downloaded for Rock Band in Rock Band 2 which was a major advantage.

Exactly what I'm doing. I've heard so much fuss over the 'faulty' RB drum kit, and the GH one looks nicer anyway, with the elevated cymbals.
Are the features on GH:WT any good? Like the create your own song thing... looks fun, not quite sure how good it'll be though... xD

There was one major complaint about the Guitar Hero controllers as well. There were a lot of problems with the first batch of Guitar Hero 4 guitars were the downstrum stops working after a few hours which hopefully they’ve fixed now.

The create a song mode is fun but really difficult to make a song because you assign each button a certain string and then try to construct a song with it. It would probably be easier if you’re actually a musician but it was all a bit too confusing for me.
