End of the World?

Well apparently there's a small chance the World as we know it will end tomorrow, when a bunch of Swiss Scientists decide to launch meteorites at eachother at faster than the speed of light miles under the ground.
Basically, the best that can happen is we find out how the Universe was really created, and/or we find a cure for cancer.
The worst that can happen...... We and the Earth itself slowly get swallowed by a giant black hole. What's there to lose? Laughing

XD Well, I don't really worry too much... I can only hope that it all goes well! CERN is a pretty respectable organisation and it'd be great if they could mark themselves further in History with this discovery of the particle... Is it called the Hick's Boson?

I think 8:30 in the morning. great excuse not to do homework though. in fact when we heard about the magnetic field thing in GCSE Physics the first thing we did was try and persuade the teacher that it wasn't worth learning for an exam we might not take. Also Hawking has made a bet that the experiment won't work.

I only just realised that the machine's only turned on today, it's not another couple of weeks until the particles collide, so if anything disastorous does happen, it won't be for another fortnight or so!
