| Have you all heard that story about that kid (13 yrs old) who is a dad? I was reading a debate thingy in a news paper where first they were blaming too much sex-ed in schools which is encouraging kids to have sex early, then somene else was saying there's not enough sex-ed so kids are misinformed. _________________ Sig? | They dont know if it is actually him anymore. A few other guys are saying they slept with her 9 months before the baby was born. So tests are being done, but a judge put out a media blackout, which means that no new information about the kids will be released, so we will never know if the 13 year old is the father or not. But at least with a media blackout, the parents cant exploit the kids by selling their story which is what they wanted to do and may have been the reason they said the 13 year old was the father because it got more attention. But what kind of people allow their 14 year old to sleep in the same room as a 13 year old and possibly other guys. I dont really remember any sex-ed when I was at school, there probably was some, I just have a daze when it comes to my school years. As for how much there should be, I think there should be alot more than there is. They are never going to stop teens from having sex, but they could cut the pregnancy level if they had better lessons in safe sex. _________________ Loo loo loo, I've got some apples... | What is a 14 year old doing sleeping with "a few" people, though? Apparently there's like 6 guys come forward? It's sick. I don't remember sex-ed but I was off loads. There clearly isn't enough although apparently they give out free condoms etc. But they say that just encourages kids to have sex. At least it would be safe. Do they give them lessons how to put them on? _________________ Sig? What sig? Where? Alright, 'fess up, who stole it?

| I think I am more wondering why her parents just allowed it. She shared her room with the youngest boy, knew of others, but they just allowed it. Free condoms is always a issue, does it encourage them to use them? But either way, if they do now want to use them or keep them until they are ready, it should encourage them to be safe. But they cant just hand them out, education is what they need. Banana's and cucumber's Although that just may be on TV lol _________________ Loo loo loo, I've got some apples... | The parents knew???!! *should read more articles rather than just skimming* I think if they are asked for they should be given but if not then kids who probs aren't even thinking about sex will so that will encourage them. It's a no-win situation, if they give them out they will be blamed for promoting under-age sex, if they don't then they will be blamed for high teen pregnancy rates. At e2e we have to do the sex-ed thing and they use real dildos _________________ Sig? What sig? Where? Alright, 'fess up, who stole it?

| So the news said, I think it was said they were in the girls room and the youngest boy often slept over in the same room. I think parents should be asked, if the parents say they dont want their child to be given one, then the teachers should ask what the parents are doing to teach their kids. Other than that, they should be given out to all. Sex is out there, whether the teachers give education and condoms or not, I dont believe sex-ed is what is causing teens to think and/or have sex. Sex is everywhere, but with the education and the condoms, it can be safe. They just need to improve the education they give. Were they battery operated? That could cause a whole load of humorous problem. _________________ Loo loo loo, I've got some apples... Loo loo loo, you've got some too... | That's just wrong!!!! That's true. Most teens think of sex a lot but actually doing it etc is different. At least with condoms they are safe. Providing they use one LOL nope not vibrators just the ones that don't move. They were blue If it was a real one you might wanna get it checked out if it's blue _________________ Sig? What sig? | Parents need to take more responsibility. Even if they are in the group that wait, they still need to have education for the future. Not if you are a member of the Blue Man Group. _________________ Loo loo loo, I've got some apples... Loo loo loo, you've got some too... | We've had 'sex-ed' at least once in high school, possibly twice (can't remember exactly) and in p7 we were told about, if I remember correctly, puberty etc. And of course we've done human biology in science. So, if it's true that boy didn't know "what he was doing and of the complications that could come", then that is rather worrying. He should have known by 13 what could happen. My parents have never talked to me about all that stuff but I'd find that rather creepy well, maybe not if it was just my mum. _________________ (\ /) ( . .) | I remember this project we had to do titled 'Be Safe', but then again that could be for anything, I think we studied the dangers of smoking and drinking, which could of been what the project was about. And more about exercise and healthy life styles. And the lessons we had were once every other week. We would have RE one week and these lessons the other week. That's not enough and I dont remember any sex education, maybe there wasnt any for me to remember. But then, I was at school quite awhile ago, things have obviously changed, so I dont know what the education is like now. I dont remember my mum telling me anything, I think all my knowledge came from tv and pr0n documentaries (Yeah, I know.. Weird ) and the safety just came from common sense. _________________ Loo loo loo, I've got some apples... Loo loo loo, you've got some too... | Gemma, idk why they aren't being punished. Rhi, I wasn't in school much either I think we did puberty but not sex. Still, they only give you the basics, not actual indepth details (about wait til you're in a relationship etc) I watched a lot of tv shows, too it's not weird _________________ Sig? What sig? | well the police said it wasn't in anyone's interests to prosecute when these people have enough to deal with as it is. _________________ “Someone once told me that 'time' is a predator that stalks us all our lives. | Even though these type of stories dont come in the paper too much, I havent heard of the police taking action against both kids if they are under 16. However if one is 16 or older, it's rape and they do take action against the oldest one. Personally I think they should go for the parents who just allowed this to happen. I think at least one of the siblings (not sure whose) has a baby. And there are other kids in both families aswell, if this has happened to 3 of them so far, they obviously have to work with the parents to make sure it doesnt happen again with the other children. But I think that is more social services rather than the police and we all know how the social services work. Ignore those that really need help, while taking away the children whose families have done nothing wrong. _________________ Loo loo loo, I've got some apples... Loo loo loo, you've got some too...
