Elimination Game - Genres

You forgot to both minus and update scores. Plus the problem with this sort of game is that eventually the winner becomes clear an eternity before its officially confirmed. maybe we should have winning parameters, like when one gets double the rest, or 10 more or something, it'll save so much pointless wasted time.

Metal - 17 (+1)
Punk - 7 (-1)
Rock - 7

Sorry about that, I've edited that post. And yeah, shall we say when Metal reaches 20 (or any other genre, although extremely unlikely) that's it? And how the other 2 are positioned at that time will be the final standings?

Metal - 18 (+1)
Punk - 7
Rock - 6 (-1)

That still takes ages, maybe it should be 10 (in future obviously), later stage voting becomes a devalued matter of expediency otherwise, at least a max of 10 means we avoid pointless voting when one gets clear. If you corrcted yours that means my last if out of sync, give me a minute to work out the true scores. and you still forgot to update the minus score.

Metal -19 (+1)
Punk - 7 (-1)
Rock - 5

That should be the right scores.

I did minus 'Rock' that time but just forgot to put '(-1)' next to it, so Rock's still on 6

Metal - 20 (+1)
Punk - 7
Rock - 5 (-1)

Those can be the final scores, as you said, before it gets any more pointless.
So how it finished, position wise:

1. Metal
2. Punk
3. Rock
4. Soul
5. Classical
6. Pop
7. Techno
8. Rap
9. Opera
10. R&B

So Metal wins the 'Elimination Game - Genres'

Oh yes, I must have mixed 'punk' and 'rock' up on one of the calculations, assuming the '7' that you subtracted from was rock when it was punk because that was the order it was before, which when you think about it doesn't make sense as they wouldn't be the same scores as previous... all so confusing. we should try doing first to 10 next time.

Any ideas on what you'd like to see as the main subject of the next Elimination Game?

Nope, the the trouble, we're a music forum, and thats the main music one. bands?

The obvious one is bands, but what bands should I choose?
Whatever I pick people aren't going to be entirely satisfied... lol

Thats the problem, we've shot the suitable bolt already, its all random from now on.

Maybe I'll do various band versions, 1 at a time of course, but then we should cover a lot (and people can say if they want a certain band featured) and each version will feature a variety of bands, so they won't all be the same genre, we'll have a good mix.

Sounds OK, although there's a chance some people won't have heard of a lot of them, which is the problem with such a wide subject.

Okay, I'll create one now, see how it goes.
